Inside the Role This position performs general maintenance on equipment and facility. Perform physically demanding manufacturing duties including: repetitive processes, moderate to heavy lifting, the use of machinery, and following standardized work procedures Perform preventative maintenance on all electrical, mechanical, and motorized equipment Identify worn parts and replace or repair parts Conduct test run of repaired equipment Read electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics Properly identify component parts by learning identification numbers Adhere to established work rotation plan Complete training matrix for each rotation position Ability to read and understand Work Station Instructions Perform other duties as assigned Actively participate in improving work area in terms of safety, quality, attendance, productivity, suggestion activities, housekeeping, and throughput Use computer systems to access company data associated with the assembly process, utilize drawings, bills of materials and specification sheets in both electronic and hard copy Ability to operate hand tools and small power tools in a safe and nondestructive manner. Knowledge You Should Bring Ability to perform skilled maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, and physical structures Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment Must be capable of repetitive hand manipulation, grasping and supporting power tools Must be able to stand on concrete for entire shift with repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds. Must maintain a clean work area.
