Town Pump is looking for a motivated and outgoingStore Clerkto join our team. Town Pump is a growing company, with ever-increasing opportunities for career growth.

As a Store Clerk team member, you will:

-be accountable for excellent customer service, cash handling and accounting, stocking, pricing, rotating, and displaying merchandise, housekeeping inside and outside of the store, store safety and store security, and deli food sales and cooking.

-operate the computerized cash register, give correct change, scan credit cards, checks, and bag merchandise.

-clean and maintain all areas of the store, with specific attention to the fountain area.

-remember regular customers’ names and faces, answer and screen phone calls, police the store, detect shoplifters, and listen and handle customer complaints.

-stock shelves and coolers, complete accurate and effective completion of shift work, complete vendor check-in procedures, complete the protocol system and “drive off” controls, and advise the store manager of any situations or policy violations having an adverse effect on store operating performance.

-sweep lot, shovel snow, clean gas pumps, fill water/cleaning solution buckets on islands, and complete any other duties assigned by management.

-prepare food according to the recipe manual by cutting, measuring, weighing, portioning, peeling, baking, frying, and broasting, while following recipes for accuracy as well as proper food safety and hygiene practices.

-clean, sanitize, and maintain work areas and equipment. Store and label food properly to prevent it from spoiling, and organize and put away food supplies and equipment in their proper places.

-keep the hot dog roller, nacho and popcorn machines, condiment center, coffee, and fountain dispenser areas clean, filled, and stocked.

-perform all cashier duties in smaller locations as described in the cashier job description.
