JOB REQUIREMENTS: Repair, install, adjust, or maintain industrial production and processing machinery or refinery and pipeline distribution systems. Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery such as envelope converting machines, printing presses, cutting machines, special operations machines and the pick module system; physical structures, and piping electrical systems in an industrial setting. Troubleshoot, repair, and/or fabricate machinery in timely, efficient, safe, and accurate manner while keeping impact on production as minimal as possible Plan repair procedures in advance of beginning job Fabricate parts, perform skilled fitting and aligning as required using precision measuring instruments for exacting measurements Expedite repairs for unscheduled maintenance jobs in most efficient and timely procedure Maintain vehicles and support equipment for all departments Work from drawings, specifications, and job layouts provided by Supervisor or Plant Engineer Find and order parts when needed Perform duties as instructed for the following specific duties, but not limited to: -Electrical troubleshooting, repair, installation, and/or maintenance -Welding -Millwright -Pneumatic -Hydraulics -Vacuum mechanical troubleshooting -Carpentry -Painting -Plumbing repair or installation -Woodworking duties -Metalworking duties -Janitorial Installation, assembly, movement, or disassembly of machinery Contribute to the general housekeeping, upkeep, and organization of the department and tooling Performance of all duties in a safe and ergonomically correct manner Perform any assignments as instructed by department head, supervisor, or assigned lead person in department Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems. Removes and replaces worn or defective parts of drive mechanism or hydraulic system. May be required to work with Industrial Electricians and Maintenance Mechanics on jobs when needed. Analyze test results, machine error messages, or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems. Clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery. Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, or assemble new equipment. Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs. Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators. Enter codes and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery. Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear. Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other testing devices. Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs. Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs. Record parts or materials used and order or requisition new parts or materials as necessary. Record repairs and maintenance performed. Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment. Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment. Study blueprints or manufacturers\' manuals to determine correct installation or operation of machinery. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Associate\'s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or a minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong mechanical ability and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with employees of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to read and interpret ruler measurements. Abi ity to walk and stand frequently during an eight-hour shift.
