JOB REQUIREMENTS: Do you have hands on Maintenance experience in a production or manufacturing facility dealing with shafts, gearboxes, and bearings? If you are self-motivated, enjoy working with your hands, enjoy working within a climate controlled environment, and work well in a team atmosphere? We are seeking a self-motivated Maintenance Mechanic with previous experience for our Butler Facility, located minutes from Milwaukee. SHIFTS AVAILABLE 1st Shift: 6:30am - 2:30pm, Mon - Fri 3rd Shift: 10:30pm - 6:30am, Sun - Thurs + \$1.00/hr shift premium Market Top Rate: Current Rate: \$32.00 - can be higher depending on experience! WHAT DOES MY WORKDAY LOOK LIKE IN THIS ROLE? Troubleshoot, repair, and fabricate machinery in a timely, safe, and accurate manner while keeping impact on production as minimal as possible. Perform skilled fitting and aligning as required using precision measuring instruments for exacting measurements. Maintain machines and support equipment for all departments including preventative maintenance. Work from drawings, specifications, and job layouts. General maintenance of building and office (plumbing, electrical, installation of technology, etc.). Communicate with co-workers and others to carry out job duties. Installation, assembly, movement, or disassembly of machinery Contribute to the general housekeeping, upkeep, and organization of the department and tooling Performance of all duties in a safe and ergonomically correct manner Perform any assignments as instructed by department head, supervisor, or assigned lead person in department Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems. Removes and replaces worn or defective parts of drive mechanism or hydraulic system. May be required to work with Industrial Electricians and Maintenance Mechanics on jobs when needed. Find and order parts when needed Perform duties as instructed for the following specific duties, but not limited to: Electrical troubleshooting, repair, installation, and/or maintenance Welding Millwright Pneumatic Hydraulics Vacuum mechanical troubleshooting Carpentry Painting Plumbing repair or installation Woodworking duties Metalworking duties Janitorial Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment. Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment. Clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery. Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs. Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs. Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear. Record repairs and maintenance performed. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE IN THIS ROLE HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS Associate\'s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or a minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong mechanical ability and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpr t documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with employees of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to read and interpret ruler measurements. Ability to walk and stand frequently during an eight-hour shift. Ability to move up to 50 lbs. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Prior Manufacturing experience preferred. ESSENTIAL FUNCTION Ability to stand for approximate duration of scheduled shift (minus paid breaks), lift up to 20 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally, repetitive grasping, frequent, twisting, lifting above shoulder height, occasional bend, reach, crouch, or stoop. Sensory requirements are tactile/touch with hands and digits, near and far visual acuity, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
