This is an On-Site position

Description:

The Business Analyst II will join a team of analysts responsible for Decision Support across Armstrong. Partnering with department leaders, they will drive improvement across Armstrong by providing insightful analyses and recommendations on business and operational strategies. This high-visibility position will play an active role in the strategic decision-making process, challenging us to arrive at the best long-term decisions. They will report to the Director of Financial Analysis in the Finance Department and be assigned to support one or more department, including Field Operations, Engineering and Technical Operations, Customer Service, Marketing, Sales, Construction, Purchasing and others, as needed.

• Leading data-driven decisions with insightful analysis

• Partnering with assigned department to provide strategic, analytical and decision support

• Become a valued member of their teams

• Become an expert and leader within assigned department, understanding strategic, tactical and operational objectives

• Clear paths for communication

• Proactively make recommendations for strategic and operational improvements

• Ownership of existing and new key metrics and reports: ensuring all reports and analyses use consistent, accepted logic related to key metrics, maintain data dictionary, work with Business Intelligence team to maintain consistency of logic across platforms, recommend new metrics to business stakeholders

• Lead recurring strategic meetings with assigned departments to identify and analyze opportunities for improvement and collaborate on resolutions

• Generating new ways of viewing and monitoring data to add value and reduce risk

• Annual budget responsibilities include forecasting, analysis and modeling

• Manage multiple strategic initiatives with competing deadlines

• Recurring reporting and ad hoc analysis

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Analytics, Business Administration or other quantitative discipline

• 4 or more years of analyst experience, telecommunications experience a plus

• Expert Excel skills with experience designing and creating models

• Experience working with large data sets, including defining query logic, querying, validating, cleansing and analyzing

• Proficiency with Business Intelligence tools, such as Power BI desired

• Hands-on experience with developing new SQL queries and analyzing existing ones
