Kelly Services Junior Accounting Clerk in Burr Ridge, Illinois

Kelly Services is currently partnering with a parts distributor in Burr Ridge seeking an Accounting Clerk to join the team

  • Role: Accounting Clerk

  • Location: Burr Ridge

  • This position requires on-site hours of 8am to 4:30pm, ½ hour lunch and two 10-minute breaks.

  • Hours: 8:00 – 4:30pm M-F

  • Rate: $20hr

  • Duration: Contract to hire

Requirements:

  • At least one-year previous experience with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.

  • Proven competency using Microsoft Outlook and Excel.

  • Sage ERP experience a plus, any Accounting software experience is helpful.

  • Paperless office system / workflow system experience a plus, dual monitors are available.

Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable (primary focus):

Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Answer customer questions relating to billing and accept credit card payments over the phone.

  • Create invoices to customers; submitting invoices to customers via USPS, email, portal usage.

  • Post payments from customers.

  • Contact customers regarding past-due accounts from Aging reports and when new orders are placed, strong

  • follow-up skills relating to those contacts.

  • Review of credit applications and credit reports for new accounts.

Accounts Payable (secondary focus):

  • The company AP uses a paperless workflow system to process invoices. Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Process Vendor invoices for payment using PO match entry.

  • Reconcile Vendor statements.

  • When needed, assist the Purchasing Department with vendor contacts regarding missing product, damaged product and other follow-up for replacements and credits.

  • Includes a virtual Drop Ship warehouse for processing orders shipped directly to a Customer from the Vendor, steps include processing the Vendor invoice then processing an invoice to the Customer along with possible research relating to Shipping charges.

  • Other tasks and projects as determined by Accounting Supervisor and CFO
