Position Role Type:

This role is responsible for leading the repair station’s Quality organization in an individual contributor role while partnering with the Service Center Team and the Avionics Quality organization. This role is accountable for ensuring continued compliance to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), and Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) requirements. This individual will work to achieve objectives that have a major impact on the organization's compliance goals. This position uses expertise to provide input on processes, standards, and plans to improve compliance with internal and external standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes and makes recommendations for the implementation of procedures and metrics that support compliance with industry, military, and regulatory standards

  • Provides research and guidance on policies, government regulations, and agency guidelines to ensure compliance with external standards

  • Manages processes, standards, and plans for the implementation of minimum standards, tools, and methods to ensure the effectiveness of existing quality processes and sustain quality performance improvements

  • Manages quality compliance audit processes, providing guidance and input to auditors at all stages

  • Manages organization projects and processes to ensure the achievement of day-to-day and longer-term quality targets

  • Reviews procedures and metrics that impact quality and makes recommendations to improve compliance with internal standards

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies including FAA, EASA, UK CAA, and CAAC

  • Supports Safety Management System (SMS) implementation and compliance

  • Manages and oversees the Quality Management System (QMS) compliance to AS9100

  • Maintains the Repair Station Manual (RSM) and Repair Station Training Manual (RSTM)

  • Manages Operation Specifications and Maintenance Capability Lists

  • Provides guidance regarding Customer quality concerns

  • Support and oversight of internal and external repair station audits

  • Ensures appropriate containment and root cause corrective actions occur for product investigations and/or process improvements

    Qualifications/Experience Needed:

  • Ability to understand, interpret, and apply Quality requirements/MRO regulations

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Part 145 repair station experience

  • Experience in Aerospace/aviation industry

  • Previous Leadership/Mentorship experience

  • Understanding of CASE 1A, AS9100, or AS9110 regulations

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
