What You Will Do: * The Grants and Funding Program Manager works collaboratively with leaders across divisions, regions and markets in developing grants and funding pursuit strategies, managing grant and funding programs, and formalizing grant and funding program structure. As a Grants and Funding Program Manager you will: * Develop and implement funding strategies to align grant objectives with organizational goals. * Lead research of federal, state and local grant funding opportunities. * Lead and assemble teams of autonomous professionals strategically aligned to the various needs of a full spectrum of technical, transportation, environmental, engineering and other grant opportunities. * Write, edit, and submit grant proposals, in collaboration with our Operational Service Leads; and prepare required grant forms, reports, and other documents. * Participate in client selection interviews, as required, for WSB project pursuits. * Manage grant budgets and financial reports and present funding opportunities to leadership and internal stakeholders. * Communicate with Finance, Accounting, and other relevant staff to ensure proper financial recording of grant revenue and restrictions. * Prepare and submit grant applications and related materials per WSB brand guidelines. * Determine alignment with possible funders and develop strategy to engage. * Correspond, engage, develop, and maintain key relationships with grant funders. * Update and monitor grant tracking to understand progress and deadlines of current grants. * Track the lifecycle and maintain grant requirements that include report due dates, budget adherence, expense tracking and other relevant data points. * Ensure all local, state, and federal policies and deadlines are met. * Ensure compliance with all applicable legislative, accounting, and auditing requirements. * Communicate key grant compliance activities to internal and external stakeholders through reports and briefings. * Maintain a working knowledge of regulations governing federal, state, and local funding for all programs and keep current on emerging trends and grant best practices. * Implement key grant management tools including Annual Grants Calendar, Communication Plans, Quarterly Grant Summaries, and other reports. What You Will Bring: * The successful candidate will have: * A bachelor s degree. Preference may be given to Communications, English, Political Science, and/or Engineering. * 6 - 10 years of experience in grant writing and programming preferred. * Strong, sophisticated, persuasive writing skills and excellent public presence in front of small groups and large audiences. * Experience in building rapport and trust with key clients, business leaders, and team members.
