We are currently hiring a Team Lead , Automotive Partner Operations based in our Burnaby Depot . 

This role will be based out of the Burnaby Depot with regular travel required ( 10-15 % / BC ) .

Reporting to the Senior Manager Automotive Partner Operations the Team Lead, Partner Operations will support the Partner Management team in relationship care to over 130 Tow Partners by leading onboarding activities, systems training, escalations, and auditing of vendor activity.

The Team Lead will handle sensitive and confidential information including the creation of contractual agreements and updating of contractor rates. The individual in this position must be able to work independently and exercise initiative, efficiency, judgement, and problem-solving skills to complete their work.

What you’ll bring: * *

  • A minimum of5 years’ experience in the automotive industry, preferably in tow or partner management.

  • Diploma in business management, or equivalent experience. 

  • Comfortable using technology, including working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Strong interpersonal skills to negotiate contract rates with partners and suppliers, and exhibits strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

  • Ability to work varied hours, including weekends.

  • Willingness to travel locally and throughout British Columbia & the Yukon (10-15%).

What you’ll do: * *

  • Handle partner and member inquiries promptly and courteously, ensuring all information is actioned or directed to a manager as needed.

  • Coordinate manufacturer rebate programs in accordance with CAA policies and effectively communicate them to partners.

  • Coordinate and set up online training through the BCAA Learning Institute for partners upon request.

  • Lead and coordinate training activities for newly onboarded partners, including partner enrollment, system updates, and announcement communications.

  • Ensure all partner information is current and updated, including insurance certificates and WorkSafe clearances.

  • Handle the preparation and communication of new Tow Partner contracts, reviewed by the Director Fleet & Partner Operations.

  • Coordinate and communicate all Request for Proposals (RFP) activity for vacated BC/Yukon cities to ensure efficient costing and member service levels.

  • Prepare and communicate annual rate adjustments to Tow Partners and Payables staff prior to their effective date, maintainingan accurate listing of all rates.

  • Coordinate annual Partner Conferences, seminars, and training activities in consultation with the Management team, including venue arrangements, vendor negotiations, and budget management. Also, solicit and secure sponsors for the bi-annual Tow Partner Trade Show to support event budgets and serve as the primary liaison with venue staff.

  • Prepare and distribute event information packages, handle conference finances confidentially following approved procedures, and provide regular updates to the Senior Manager, Road Assist Operations on event planning, registration, and related activities.

  • Provide support in processing sensitive reports and documents for Managers, maintainingconfidentiality as necessary. Also, assist with ordering department supplies and coordinating venues and meals for training or staff meetings with Manager approval.

  • Aid Managers in coordinating travel plans and arranging accommodations for visits to contract tow partners, ensuring smooth logistics and support for business activities.

The salary range for this position is $58,416.24 to $73,020.24 and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 5%, with the opportunity to earn up to 9%.
