Based out of your home office or one of our office locations in Alberta (Calgary and Edmonton) or British Columbia (Victoria or Vancouver), you’ll have the opportunity to work as part of multi-disciplinary project teams associated with our Western Canada Offices to contribute to the environmental planning and permitting efforts of government and privately-owned infrastructure projects. As an Intermediate Planner, you’ll have the opportunity to support a multidisciplinary team in coordinating infrastructure development projects through the permitting and approvals process. This is a full-time position which is primarily office work. Bring your enthusiasm for learning and desire to conserve our natural resources, and we’ll help you grow!

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• Minimum degree or diploma in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Geography, Biology/Ecology or a related field. 

• Time management skills, with the ability to simultaneously work on multiple tasks/projects and meet project deadlines.

• Environmental Planning and Permitting experience.

• Positive attitude and self-motivated, with excellent interpersonal skills suited to working with a variety of different teams. Strong consideration for safety.

• Great communication skills both written and verbal and willingness to be client facing to grow our planning and permitting services.

• High attention to detail and strong desire to provide high quality deliverables.

• A driver’s license and ability to provide a clean, 3 year driving abstract.

• Eligibility to fly on domestic flights as per current Federal Regulations

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

• Previous experience in environmental consulting, oil and gas or environmental regulatory agencies.

• Experience or knowledge of Indigenous cultural values • Knowledge of provincial and federal environmental legislation and regulatory requirements, primarily in western Canada.

• Understanding of managing budgets and schedules.

• Demonstrated technical writing skills.
