Coffman Engineers is seeking an entry-level Process Engineer, who is passionate about their craft, wants to work on a high-functioning team, and looking for an environment that promotes professional growth. The successful candidate will have entry-level experience performing process design work for industrial (oil and gas, energy, chemicals) clients and have an understanding of front-end loading and detailed design phase engineering. The candidate will manage individual tasks to effectively and efficiently complete work responsibilities with the support of senior engineers. There will also be opportunities to provide project and technical support to projects in other Coffman offices across the rocky mountain region and pacific northwest. In This Role You Will: Develop process engineering deliverables (design basis, P&IDs, PFDS, heat and material balance) to support projects in various design phases from Pre-FEED through detailed design under supervision of a senior engineer. Perform hydraulic studies and calculations for line sizing. Develop specifications for and size process equipment (separators, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors). Participate in project hazard reviews. Perform process simulations in support of optimization and other studies. Participate in project meetings with clients and project team to define project objectives and coordinate on design issues with other disciplines. Assist project manager and teams in proposal development by defining process engineering scope of work and estimate effort. This position is not eligible for sponsorship. Qualifications Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Chemical Engineering from accredited college or university. 0 - 3 years of experience supporting multidisciplinary projects in a process design role. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including oral presentation skills. Ability to travel periodically. Expected annual salary of $68,000- $82,000.
