We are seeking an Electrical Designerto join our team in applying engineering skills to a variety of diverse and challenging projects for our Burlington office. The successful candidate will have one to five years of experience in the design and drafting of lightingfor educational, commercial, healthcare, and state/federal facilities. Qualifications Technical or Associate degree, equivalent technical school training, or equivalent work experience. Technical/Professional expertise with 1 or more years of electrical design experience in an electrical engineering environment. Demonstration of verbal and written organizational and communication skills. Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit MEP strongly preferred. Expected annual salary of $55,000 - $86,500. This position is not eligible for sponsorship. Required Responsibilities: Prepare layouts; provide input for design proposals and drawings; and analyze and resolve design and production issues in areas such as Power Distribution and Electrical Systems. Incorporate design concepts from schematic design into design development and final construction drawings. Determine scale and prepare layouts for detailing. Become familiar with accepted design/drafting methods and concepts, engineering and design principles, terminology, and manufacturing materials. Provide recommendations for design adaptations and modifications. Under supervision, incorporate decision recommendations. Make decisions regarding design suitability using knowledge of specified product materials and production process. Apply codes, identify alternatives and solutions to code exceptions, and devise new approaches to problems encountered. Perform mathematical calculations using engineering formulas and analysis tools. Become familiar with coordinating across a variety of building design disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, architectural, and structural. Represent the firm in a professional manner, enhancing client confidence and respect, and furthering relationships for the goal of repeat work or referrals.
