The Physical Plant Department at the University of Vermont is seeking an individual for a full-time benefits eligible position as a Plumber. This role is needed to performa wide variety of skilled plumbing functions to include the repair, installation, and preventative maintenance of plumbing equipment and systems. Throughout the day employees access information utilizing computers and are expected to promote a workplace culture which encourages safety within the field and shop. This role will need to be able to operate a University vehicle, and may be required to operate an aerial lift.

High school diploma,Vermont Journey Plumbing license and one year experience with license in construction plumbing/heating system installation and maintenance plumbing required. Backflow Prevention Device Inspector Certification or ability to obtain within one year required. Vermont Natural Gas Installer Certification or ability to obtain within six months required. Experience using computers and mobile technology required.Valid drivers license or ability to obtain and drivers check required.Initial employment contingent upon successful completion of background check and physical screening.
