Posting Summary

The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant position is a vital position within Student Health that supports students by providing direct and full spectrum primary health care services to UVM students. These include prevention services and management of acute and chronic conditions. Participate in health-related initiatives that support the health of students and the university community. Support the mission, vision, and philosophy of Student Health Services, the CHWB , the Division of Student Affairs, and the University of Vermont, which include promoting an inclusive environment for students and staff of different backgrounds, as well as a healthy, positive and supportive work environment.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Master’s degree in healthcare field and graduate of Nurse Practitioner (NP) program or certification from a State Board of Medicine approved Physician Assistant (PA) program and two years clinical experience (including work with college age population) required. Vermont licensure required. PA should be Board Certified in adult medicine, with experience in primary care. Current CPR certification and DEA licensure. Experience with computerized medical records. Collaborative working experience across health care disciplines. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusiveness.

Desirable Qualifications

Family NP Certification or Physician Assistant Certification. Experience working with young adults including treatment of mental health concerns, disordered eating and gender affirming care highly desirable.

Anticipated Pay Range $99,600-$116,400

Other Information

Special Conditions Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, Background Check required for this position
