Posting Summary

To participate as a technical member of a large, clinical research laboratory to perform assays following established protocol, validate new assays, reduce data, update Quality Control (QC) systems, receive shipments of frozen samples, and maintain frozen blood sample repositories with supervision from the Principal Investigators and Senior Staff.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

A Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field and two to three years of experience to include knowledge of hematology/coagulation assays, ELISAs, and quality control procedures. Working knowledge of technology and word processing, spreadsheet, database applications required. Demonstrated ability to work independently with attention to detail.

Desirable Qualifications

Some background in biochemistry, or a clinical environment helpful. Experience with MSD or Luminex panel assay formats highly desired. Experience with Good Lab Practice regulations and BioSafety Level II regulations is preferred. Knowlege of MS Office Suite applications desirable.

A six-month probationary period is required.
