Senior Applications Developer – E-Commerce

Location: Home-Based, Canada

Position Summary:

Bentley is embarking on a transformational journey to modernize sales, marketing, support, and ERP platforms to upscale our user experience and processes across the enterprise. The Digital Business Enablement team is focused on partnering with their stakeholders to deliver world-class enterprise applications focused on streamlining our processes and user experience. To complement this effort, the team is seeking an architect/developer to support our Adobe Commerce application landscape. The ideal candidate will have experience with implementation and maintenance of the Adobe Commerce (Magento) platform to deliver a seamless and secure digital purchasing experience. They will understand the Adobe Commerce solution architecture with ability to configure and develop code within the environment. If you are a candidate who has a vision of what could be and a belief in driving impact, then you may be the ideal person for this position.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Support the technical design and solution architecture to meet business requirements on the Adobe Commerce platform.

  • Develop code for integration to other applications and provide ongoing support for existing code base.

  • Configure Adobe Commerce to meet project needs and business requirements.

  • Conduct quality reviews, unit and integrated testing on configuration and developed solutions.

  • Define and enforce best practices for development and configuration of solutions on the Adobe Commerce platform.

  • Execute upgrades and patching, testing and technical validations for ongoing maintenance of the Adobe Commerce environment.

What You Bring to The Team:

  • 5+ years of experience with development on the Adobe Commerce (Magento) platform.

  • 2+ years of architecting Adobe Commerce enterprise solutions.

  • Certification in Adobe Commerce (Magento) version 2.x.

  • Experience with PHP-7, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, Prototype, XML, Web-Services/WCF, Web API Restful services.

  • Agile implementation methodology experience; executing on multiple simultaneous sprints.

  • Experience building major 3rd party systems integrations (ERPs, Payment Gateways, 3PL, etc.), in-depth knowledge of Adobe Commerce APIs, experience building headless Commerce solutions (experience integrating with AEM is a plus).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Great analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mentality.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with other globally disbursed team members.

  • This is a full-time role expected to work 40 hours per week, home-based in Canada.

  • Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any otherphysical requirements (https://www.bls.gov/ors/factsheet/visual-overview-of-physical-demands.htm) ). The role requires communication with managers, peers, and other colleagues of the company in person (on occasion), and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling, and meeting functions.

  • No travel is required for this role.
