Title: RF Research Engineer

Duration: 1 year with possible extension 

Location: Onsite Burlingame, CA

Hours: Minimum 40 Hours/Week 

Role:

  • Develop RF schematics, and layout, and work with vendors for DFM and manufacturing for research systems and devices.

  • Perform RF link budget analysis and RF issue debugging in the lab.

  • Perform simulation (RF circuit simulation and 3D EM Simulation), performance, tuning/optimization, and validation of RF conducted performance.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure RF performance is met at component, board, and system levels.

  • Work with antenna and test engineers to ensure the quality of the overall system.

Skills:

  • 3+ years’ experience in RF hardware design for consumer electronics.

  • Experience with RF front-end and SoC Schematic, Layout Capture, and Board Bring Up.

  • Work experience with RF lab equipment for device characterization, debugging, and component/system performance validation.

  • Experience with RF circuits and EM simulation software.

  • Effective communicator and team player.

Preferred Skills:

  • MS or PhD in RF/Electromagnetics.

  • 5+ years of industry experience.

  • Experience in Schematic Capture and PCB Layout using Cadence or Altium.

  • Experience in WiFi/BT or Cellular RF module design, optimization, and validation.

Education: BSCSE or related.
