What You'll Be Doing

Job Scope: Generally responsible for project administration including overall planning, tracking and documentation of one or several projects from the project proposal phase to the project closeout phase. Projects are typically outlined with specific guidelines and procedures. This position is also responsible for overall department support, including but not limited to the leader and project managers for the specific discipline assigned to. This work will be performed under general supervision.

Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Take direction from Project Manager as related to daily tasks and priorities

  • Prep project documents for use during execution/closeout phases of projects

  • Help coordinate meetings, distribute agendas, and document meeting minutes.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and change requests.

  • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to understand project objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.

  • Monitor project progress and assist with tracking of milestones ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and change requests, action items, lessons learned

  • Issue Resolution: Identify potential issues or obstacles and work proactively to address them, escalating to the Project Manager, as necessary.

  • Track/monitor procurement deliveries and ETAs, assist with purchasing, invoice processing and expediting as needed.

  • Field Verification of equipment and site documents (P&ID's, Vendor Drawings, etc.)

  • Document field walk downs, assist in taking pictures, notes, organizing and loading all relevant documented information to the project folder.

  • Use MS Excel & Power Point to organize and present project data

Ideal Background

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Advanced coursework is highly preferred.

Certification: No certification is required for this position.

Experience: This position requires 6 or more years of experience in providing administrative support, preferably in an industrial engineering environment.

  • Familiarity of project management processes such as scheduling, planning, milestones, tracking action items and facilitating meetings.

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and support multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Previous experience in project coordination or related roles, preferably in a construction environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Knowledge of plastic manufacturing processes and industry regulations is not required but preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time.
