We are seeking a polished and dynamic Organizational Change Management (OCM) Lead to join our Technology Communications and Development programs organization! With the opportunity to be responsible for the development and institution of a newly formed OCM practice for Disney Enterprise Technology and building the practice across the organization. This individual will have a depth and breadth of change management principles and their application as they apply to the holistic portfolio of projects and other change initiatives requiring support for end users. This position will additionally establish and lead an OCM community of practice to ensure ongoing alignment with the organization’s mission, vision, and priorities, as well as reinforce consistent OCM methodologies, practices, tools and training.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic OCM framework, methodology, and tools for the IT services organization.

  • Lead and mentor a team of OCM practitioners and consultants, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and innovation.

  • Establish and maintain an OCM community of practice, providing guidance, best practices, and resources for OCM practitioners and stakeholders across the organization.

  • Design and deliver OCM training and coaching for project managers and other IT professionals, enhancing their OCM competencies and capabilities.

  • Manage and execute OCM activities and plan recommendations for multiple, concurrent IT projects and programs, ensuring alignment with the project objectives, scope, and schedule.

  • Conduct stakeholder analysis, change impact assessment, change readiness assessment, and change measurement for IT projects and programs when appropriate.

  • Develop and implement communication, engagement, adoption strategies, and tactics for IT projects and programs, ensuring stakeholder engagement and commitment.

  • Identify and manage OCM risks and issues, escalating and resolving them as appropriate.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and outcomes of OCM interventions, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.

  • Report on the status and progress of OCM projects and programs, highlighting achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.

  • Strategically position multiple, concurrent change initiatives for success by ensuring transparency, alignment and partnership with our internal business partners.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in leading and handling OCM projects and programs, preferably in an IT services organization.

  • Proven track record of delivering successful OCM outcomes for complex and large-scale IT projects and programs.

  • Strong knowledge and skills in OCM frameworks, methodologies, and tools, such as ADKAR, Kotter, Prosci, etc.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences and levels.

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and empower others.

  • Highly collaborative, adaptable, and flexible, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solutioning, and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and address OCM challenges and opportunities.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and other OCM tools and platforms.

  • Certification in OCM, project management, or related field is an asset

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, psychology, communication, or related field.

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $149,240 to $200,200 per year and Seattle, WA $156,292 to $209,660 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
