Lead Tax Accountant – Credits & Incentives (Atlanta, GA, Dallas/San Antonio, TX, New York, NY, Burbank, CA)

AT&T is looking for a team member to join their Tax Credits & Incentives team. The overall purpose of this Lead Tax Accountant position is to manage and coordinate aspects of the production tax credit incentives process for AT&T’s WarnerMedia operations.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages the budgeting, forecasting and accounting process for WarnerMedia production credits through coordination with production planning and accounting to maximize cash flow to operations.

  • Reviews and documents credit calculations for credit utilization and transfers.

  • Supports monetization strategies for production related credits, including coordination with tax compliance and tax credit sales.

  • Manages production credit audits for self-produced content.

  • Manages compliance requirements for credits included on tax returns, including submission of applications, credit reporting, carryforward and utilization.

  • Supports industry and legislative analysis, initiatives and strategy.

  • Researches production credit requirements, and advises operations on credit availability and monetization opportunities.

Job Contribution: Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, and experience manipulating large volumes of data. Alteryx (and other advanced analytics software) experience is a plus.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills a must, with the ability to develop and sustain good working relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Self-starter who takes appropriate initiative to resolve issues and solve problems with minimal supervision.

  • Exceptional communication skills with all levels of management, both written and verbal.

EXPERIENCE: Preferred 7-10 years of Corporate Tax, Finance or Accounting experience, preferably specific to production and/or tax credits, or other related areas.

EDUCATION: Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting with Masters degree in Accounting; specialized skills training or certification may be required.
