Summary:

The Resuscitation Program Learning Specialist is responsible for supporting the Manager, Instructional Design and Online Learning with the development, implementation and evaluation of HealthStream's American Red Cross (ARC) Resuscitation Program training for BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications.

The Specialist will effectively support and coach students throughout the organization on how to complete the American Red Cross resuscitation training course(s). This includes being able to answer questions regarding the online course, coaching students during the Brayden manikin skills validation demonstrations, and facilitating manikin setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting as needed.

Responsibilities:

SKILL AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM):

EDUCATION

  • EMT Certification or equivalent training required

  • RN degree preferred

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience working collaboratively with and delivering training to adult learners preferred

  • Experience performing needs analysis, implementing training interventions, and measuring results

  • Experience with resuscitation skills and first aid instruction preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills

  • Effectively instructs students on how to complete the American Red Cross courses

  • Demonstrates coaching skills to assist others to perform the tasks included in the course curriculum

  • Demonstrates the ability to facilitate and maintain mannequins and other equipment and verify operational status

  • Supports the organization with using Brayden manikins for performing skills validations

  • Ability to train in a variety of settings with different type of adult learning situations

  • Demonstrated basic knowledge of utilizing technology including simulation manikins, tablets, apps, and learning management systems

  • Basic PC skills utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel software applications

  • Ability to be self-directed and independently manage

  • Has meticulous attention to detail and champions new technology

  • Ability to travel between the various CH sites; occasional weekend and evening work schedules required

  • Carry equipment/supplies from one facility to another
