Job Description:

To evaluate, recommend , educate and administer selected respiratory care to all patients requiring treatment. To utilize appropriate respiratory practices to assure safe patient transport internally within and outside our facilities.

Minimum or Preferred Qualifications:

AAS - Associate of Applied Science in Respiratory Care required. 3 years of Pediatric and/or neonatal respiratory experience within past 5 years inclusive of critical care and independent intubation required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Ped Adv Life Sp (PALS), and Neona Resus Prog (NRP) required within 90 days of hire/transfer. One of the following required; Respiratory Therapist LP upon hire, or Respiratory Therapist within 90 days of hire/transfer. For 10122 - OCH Respiratory Therapy: Transport of patients that are complex, including those requiring respiratory therapist transfer to maintain patient stability. Attains Mercy Flight required education in Air Flight patient transport within 90 days of starting position and required to maintain annual Mercy Flight Education and competency inclusive of physical requirements for external transport of patients via helicopter, fixed wing, and/or ground transportation. Flight crew members are required at time of hire/transfer and must maintain thereafter to weigh 240 pounds or less including flight suit with boots, helmet and additional equipment normally carried in flight suit. Existing team members as of 7/01/21 who do not meet the required weight, will have until 10/01/21 to be in compliance with the required weight limit.
