Delaware North Platform Engineering Manager, Remote in Buffalo, New York

The Opportunity

Delaware North is hiring a Platform Engineering Manager to join our Information Technology team. As Platform Engineering Manager, you will oversee a team of platform engineers and drive the development and evolution of the organization's platform infrastructure, automation tools, and deployment pipelines. You will play a critical role in shaping the technical infrastructure of our organization.

Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $95900 - $129400 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Responsibilities

  • Lead the platform engineering function, providing continual guidance and mentorship

  • Manage and drive the maturity of Delaware North’s iPaaS platform; lead use case evaluation sessions with external vendors; collaborate with internal teams to drive architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use

  • Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems

  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of platform services with applications and systems

  • Lead incident response efforts for platform-related incidents, coordinating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues in a timely manner and minimize impact on operations; identify root causes and prevent recurrence

  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field; Agile certification is preferred

  • 4+ years’ experience with developing engineers and managing teams

  • 5+ years’ experience within platform (iPaaS) development, MuleSoft experience is a plus

  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability

  • In-depth understanding of DevOps concepts, and tools, e.g. CI/ CD pipelines, source code control, static code analysis, monitoring, version control, etc.

  • Experience with Automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, or similar; experience with cloud technologies, i.e. AWS, or Azure; experience with agile project management including scrum or Kanban frameworks

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
