M&T Bank Lead Business Analytics & Reporting Analyst in Buffalo, New York

Overview:

Responsible for the execution of the Credit Risk Management Program Office responsibilities which includes, but not limited to, system processes and reporting (Archer eGRC system), preparing professional PowerPoint Governance Committee Reporting and other ad hoc requests.

Supports the department with ad hoc needs and requests.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Subject Matter Expert of eGRC system for Credit Risk Management

  • Support the department with Archer eGRC system questions, training, and identify efficiencies within existing processes.

  • Develop and produce complex and ad hoc departmental reports, spreadsheet and project work related to specific Risk discipline. Deliver information in a format that is easy to use utilizing dashboard and slide deck presentation methods.

  • Collaborate with departments throughout the organization, including but not limited to M&T Learning, HR Analytics, and learners throughout the organization that participate in trainings.

  • Support operational functions executed within the Risk Framework.

  • Assist in the collection of data necessary for reporting and/or presentations for management.

  • Follow established procedures and raise questions to management as appropriate.

  • Perform non-routine data review, research, and/or reconciliation.

  • Drive continuous improvement of existing processes, develop new processes or enhance existing processes where required including procedural documentation and custom tools for automation. Identify resources that can be utilized to support business operations or improve existing business processes. Provide input and recommendations to management.

  • Support user certifications; obtain documentation necessary for departmental audits.

  • Take a lead role / participate in the planning, testing, and implementation of new projects, systems, products and regulatory changes impacting the team.

  • Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.

  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory/ Managerial Responsibilities:

Acts as an advisor and coach to mentor junior team members

May provide direction and leadership to more junior staff

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years related business line experience,

OR in lieu of,

A combined minimum of 8 years higher education and/or work experience

Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products including Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Experience with Visio is a plus.

Education and Experience Preferred :

Risk Management foundational knowledge

Working knowledge of Archer or other eGRC system

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $71,985.72 - $119,976.20 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
