Job Description:

As a member of the Infrastructure Platform Services team, the Junior Systems Engineer is responsible for Windows server administration that supports daily operations of the Kaleida data centers. This role reports to the Platform Services Manager and works under his/her direction. This role is responsible for troubleshooting as well and helping to define solutions to meet business needs, helping to provide technical oversight, planning, and implementation across multiple sites. One or more of following certifications required: CompTIA A+ CompTIA Network+ CompTIA Security+ Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA).

Minimum or Preferred Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED is required. Associates of Applied Science (AAS) in Computer Science or related field is required; in lieu of Associate degree 3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. 3 years of experience is required in installing, implementing and administering complex infrastructure solutions for enterprise wide initiatives; Powershell, Python, Perl or other languages; automated monitoring systems and technologies, with practical knowledge of MS SCOM, and SCCM, and automated patching procedures. 3 years of experience is required in 2 or more of the following technologies: Windows Server Admin and Support; Active Directory / DNS / DHCP / GPO Admin; Hypervisor - VMware ESXi, Hyper-V; Windows Scripting (PowerShell, VBS)
