Enterprise Charter School (ECS) Overview:

Enterprise is a public charter school in Buffalo, New York educating children in kindergarten through eighth grade. Founded in 2003, ECS is committed to "Engaging young minds through projects and partnerships."

We pursue our mission through our Charter's key design elements, with our primary focus on highly engaging project-based learning, comprehensive arts education, and individualized instruction for enrichment and acceleration. Enterprise Charter School is seeking an Instructional Fellow that is visionary and is relentlessly looking for new ways to improve and grow as an instructional leader. The Instructional Fellows' actions must always be aligned with our school's mission and possess a genuine love and concern for the success of our schools teachers and students. A Bachelor's Degree is required; Master's Degree preferred.

Essential Functions

  • Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Serving as a member of the school's leadership team collaborating with other leaders to ensure that the school achieves all of its academic and cultural goals

  • Creating and maintain a positive school culture for students and staff that aligns to our schools mission

  • Collaborating with other leaders to implement relevant instruction

  • Reinforcing and maintaining the school's culture of high academic and behavioral achievement through restorative practices and responsive discipline practices

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to effectively lead teams to completed complex projects over time

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people

  • Ability to take initiative to create new systems where necessary and to work independently

  • A commitment to doing whatever it takes to ensure the success of Enterprise Charter School

  • Proficiency in working with computers, commonly used software (like Google Documents) and Excel.

Enterprise Charter School offers a competitive salary, health benefits and is a member of the NYS Teacher Retirement System. Position starts at $60,000 higher rate based on experience.
