Sealing Devices Inc. Help Desk Technician in Buffalo, New York

As a Help Desk Technician, you will play a vital role in the installation, support, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices. Youll work under the guidance of the Network Administrator, providing exceptional help desk support to both onsite and remote users.

Your responsiblities:

  • Install and Deploy: You'll set up and deploy desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices like printers and scanners.
  • Administer User Accounts: You will manage user accounts to ensure smooth access and functionality.
  • Be the Go-To Person: As the primary contact for all help desk requests, youll be the one users turn to for assistance.
  • Manage Company Cell Phones: Youll handle the management and support of company cell phones.
  • Maintain Inventory: Keeping track of all end devices and Windows applications will be part of your role.
  • Monitor Security: Youll monitor and address any desktop security issues that arise.
  • Collaborate and Work Independently: Youll have the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a team.

To excel as a Help Desk Technician, you should have:

  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with an Associate Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of relevant job experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in basic PC setup and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of Architecture: A basic understanding of server/client architecture in a Microsoft-based environment.
  • Peripheral Device Knowledge: Familiarity with the repair and support of PC peripheral devices like printers and scanners.
  • Networking Concepts: A grasp of fundamental networking concepts, including IP Addressing, DHCP, and DNS.



Salary ranges for this position are determined based upon the job location and can be adjusted based upon experience, reflecting our commitment to valuing the expertise and contributions of our individual team members. Salary range for this role is $22 to $25/hour based upon experience.
