Summary:
Jumpstart your career to see the theoretical transformed to the applied! The Facilities Systems Engineer I (FSEI) gets to see their engineering degree come alive, first hand, in real time on real, large-scale mechanical, plumbing, and electrical equipment! The FSEI spends the first one to one-and-a-half years in guided training to become familiar with the operations of a chilled water and steam generation plant providing services to a multi-building campus with a hospital. We ask only that you remain interested and committed to the training program and work and learn to be promoted to the FSEII position where you will get to operate the plant! During the program you'll be guided and supported by your peers, supervisor, and technical staff whose interest is to see you succeed! All training and certificates are paid for by RPCCC. The starting salary for this position is $70,317 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package.

The FSEII position offers opportunities to create and implement energy savings, improve equipment performance, and contribute to plant improvements will follow.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Engineering Sciences or related field; or
2. Associate's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Engineering Sciences or related field and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience in Facilities Systems; or
3. High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma, five (5) years of military training or its equivalent in boiler (steam), chiller (chilled water) or HVAC systems, and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time experience in a power plant or similar setting as a boiler operator.

NOTES
1. As a condition of employment, incumbents must achieve the following within two (2) years of appointment: (a) Facilities Systems Engineer II training criteria competency; and (b) Obtain an ATMT Boiler Operations certificate or first class boiler operator license; and (c) Obtain NFPA 70E arc flash training certificate.
2. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
