The Facilities Specialist is responsible for meeting the daily needs of a busy office setting.As A Facilities Specialist, You Will:Maintain a professional, clean, stocked and neat office, including but not limited to cleaning of lobby, training rooms, employee area, kitchen, windows, bathroomsRespond to all facilities maintenance emergenciesOversee service, maintenance and repair with external vendors and contractorsMaintain upkeep, leases, registration and inspection of vehiclesProcess incoming and outgoing mail and packages, including bulk mailingBe first point of contact for alarm companyMonitor inventory levels of supplies, materials, and equipment; order, receive, and oversee storage of supplies materials and equipment; properly uses, cleans, and stores equipment needed to complete dutiesPlace orders for departmental supplies as neededResponsible for cleaning training rooms, after each useAssist with order and pick up of materials/food for Board Meetings, Staff events and other meetings and events as requestedProvides hands on assistance with field maintenance tasks, general repairs such as painting, patching walls, and landscaping/snow removalAct as a Safety Planner and support the Emergency Planning CommitteeEvening and Weekend hours required as neededServe as member of the staff team and attend meetings and trainings as requiredCarry out or assist with other tasks in addition to the duties listed on this job description, in accordance with the agency’s team philosophy.What you will bring to this role:Must possess and maintain a valid NYS driver’s license, satisfactory driving record and continue automobile insuranceFollows appropriate safety guidelines in completing dutiesProperly uses, cleans and stores equipment needed to complete dutiesCompletes duties in a timely and responsible mannerFrequently move materials up to 50 poundsOccasionally ascends/descends a ladderWalking, climbing, stooping, kneeling and lifting will be required.Ability to organize, prioritize, pay attention to details and effectively handle multiple tasks and projectsDemonstrated working knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Word, Access and Excel, and other programs.Ability to carry out assignments without direct supervisionFluent in Spanish or another language that would support servicing our customers a plusJob Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insurancePaid time offParental leaveProfessional development assistanceVision insuranceSchedule:Day shiftWork Location: In person
