Delaware North Director of Client Engagement and Retention, Remote in Buffalo, New York

The Opportunity

Delaware North Global Headquarters, located in Buffalo, New York, is hiring a Director of Client Engagement and Retention. In this remote business development role, you will lead the efforts for advancing Delaware North’s market position and value proposition with existing clients within our Sportservice portfolio.

Our ideal candidate will provide technical skills and leadership to align Delaware North’s goals with those of our Sportservice partners. The Director of Client Engagement and Retention will develop customized solutions, communicate Delaware North's advantages, and ensure long-term client retention. This business development role also involves leading client engagement planning, collaborating with leadership, and overseeing strategies for client retention and contract extension.

Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $154600 - $208700 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Sportservice COO and VPs to strategize client retention and engagement.

  • Oversee strategy and execution of client engagement initiatives for Delaware North.

  • Work cross-functionally to maintain a leading market position.

  • Identify growth opportunities and retention risks using agreed KPIs.

  • Manage actions and accountability through Salesforce, ensure client expectations are met.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; Masters degree preferred.

  • The ability to utilize deliberate influence strategies to shape behaviors effectively.

  • 8+ years experience fostering cooperation across business units to optimize resources for client satisfaction.

  • The means to understand market dynamics and proactively provide solutions to evolving client needs.

  • The expertise to apply a comprehensive understanding of the market to make mutually beneficial decisions.

  • Experience building alliances and influence key decision-makers while managing customer relationships at the C-level.

  • Must be able to travel up to 50%.
