Founded in 1977, BHR is a leading advocate for quality affordable housing. We administer rental assistance programs and offer a variety of housing-related programs and services promoting home ownership, educating renters and landlords, improving existing housing stock, and developing and managing affordable housing.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Responsible for the overall administration and management of individual development and construction projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives, government regulations, and organizational goals in support of delivering new and rehabilitated housing units. The successful candidate will lead with integrity, providing strategic and operational oversight to ensure projects are administered seamlessly and successfully to achieve the goals of our organization, funding agencies and lenders.

REQUIREMENTS: Thorough knowledge of federal, state, local and private financing programs for affordable housing and applicable regulations is preferred. AIA, AICP or Project Management Certifications preferred. Reliable and properly insured vehicle required (mileage to be reimbursed).

EDUCATION &/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelors Degree with at least 5 years related experience, or Masters Degree with at least 2 years related experience. Ideal experience would include funding for affordable housing, affordable housing project management, utilization of low income housing tax credits, project management with market rate development, etc.

SKILLS: Financial analysis, knowledge of construction and excellent writing skills. Computer skills include knowledge of databases, internet and project management software. Proficiency with spreadsheet and word processing software. Strong math and communication skills, and ability to present information to top management, public groups and boards of directors.
