Job Summary

Our Construction Management team is seeking a Deputy Sector Manager to join the team! This person will be responsible for assisting with leading and growing our Highway and Bridge team in Upstate New York.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all PMCM projects with various clients.

  • Manage staff working on projects within the group.

  • Responsible for successful delivery of projects.

  • Monitor budgets and schedules of projects.

  • Identify potential project prospects and lead preparation of technical proposals (narratives) to support marketing efforts.

  • Prepare and participate in proposal presentations.

  • Will be responsible for the Group's Sales Goal.

  • Partner with internal Talent Attraction team to help identify, interview and recommend potential candidates to be hired for the team.

  • Maintain membership in professional societies.

  • Manage all UpstatePMCM Clients

  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDING EDUCATION and/or JOB EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related field.

  • P.E. license required and at least 20 years of experience in construction management of infrastructure projects.

  • Experience working for various local, state and federal transportation agencies such as NYSDOT, NYSTA, City of Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, etc.

  • Project Management Procedures (PMP's) and Project Management Guidelines (PMG's) familiarity a plus.

  • Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.

  • Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients' toughest challenges.

  • High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.

  • Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of$193,500- $290,300 annually for this position and local market.
