CONAX TECHNOLOGIES LLC Calibration Lab Technician 2nd Shift in Buffalo, New York

Description

The primary responsibility of the Calibration Lab Tech is to support the manufacturing team by performing required calibrations on temperature sensors that we produce as well as maintaining the calibration of equipment used in the facility. You would collaborate with the team to prepare outside vendor requisition's, maintain and update procedures, design, prepare and recommend test setups and ensure the effectiveness of lab activities.

Duties:

  • Primary responsibility is to support the manufacturing process by performing required calibrations on temperature sensors produced.

  • Calibrate and maintain electrical instrumentation, devices and equipment used by the facility and personnel in the performance of their duties.

  • Maintenance of Calibration Lab equipment.

  • Prepare outside vendor requisitions.

  • Maintain records of inspection equipment calibration and usage dates.

  • Write and revise procedures for equipment calibration and operation.

  • Strict adherence to procedures.

  • Assist engineering by performing a testing for new designs.

  • Design, prepare and recommend test setups/fixturing, as well as acceptance criteria, when requested.

  • Verify product calibration prior to shipment.

  • Utilizes and creates documents in the Conax Technologies Wiki.

  • Exemplify core values of integrity, commitment, innovative thinking, customer service, and teamwork.

  • Implementation, maintenance and improvement of the management system

  • Identifications of deviations from MS or form procedures for performing lab activities

  • Initiation of actions to prevent deviations

  • Reporting to management the performance of the laboratory MS

  • Ensuring effectiveness of lab activities

Education and Experience:

  • Associates Degree in electronics or a technical discipline or applicable experience

  • 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing or calibration test environment preferred

  • Prior experience in temperature calibration preferred

  • Understanding and familiarity with electrical calibration and test techniques, procedures and methods

  • Understanding and familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements

  • Proven mathematical aptitude

  • Proficient in Office365 Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
