Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Senior Customer Development Analyst, located in Chicago, IL (co-located in Buffalo Grove, IL).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Passionate about strategic categories that are critical for the growth of the customer and Johnson & Johnson

  • Supports team members/partners by organizing, analyzing, and drawing conclusions from a variety of data sources, including IRI, Nielsen, POS, Loyalty, and Shopper/Panel, to identify trends and provide insights-based recommendations

  • Provides high quality, unbiased category management recommendations to customers and field sales to enable them to drive traffic, increase market share and improve efficiencies

  • Tracks and reports sales performance, such as promotional, new items, customer results, customer groups, or categories

  • Conceptualize and implement efficient ways of reporting via tools, templates, & automation

  • Establish balanced processes to drive consistency & organization across team

  • Develops POG recommendations to support customer sales at the shelf, and performs pre and post-analysis

  • Provides SKU optimization recommendations by providing shopper, category, brand and/or customer insights to support strategies and recommendations for customers

  • Supports new product launches by developing fact-based category stories that differentiate J&J products from competitive offerings. Executes specific steps of the new product launch strategy, such as developing fact books, UPC codes, or artwork

  • Ensures data is accurately formed, reported, and error-free through careful review and refinement prior to performing analysis

  • Leads pivotal initiatives outside of day-to-day analytical support

  • Mentors/coaches junior members of the team

Qualifications

Education:

4-yr degree or equivalent required

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years prior professional experience in category management, customer sales, merchandising or in a consumer products environment

  • Ability to work effectively within a dynamic, complex matrix, changing environment, high demand customer

  • Ability to draw key insights that are measurable and will drive growth

  • Ability to assess marketplace and various consumer retail business models

  • Strong digital literacy, including MS Office Suite applications, database information sources, and web applications

    Preferred:

  • Ability to summarize and influence decisions through data

  • Ability to craft impactful presentations to explain recommendations

  • Experience with retailer loyalty card data and/or shopper panel data preferred

  • Space management (JDA) experience preferred

  • ecommerce and omnichannel experience desired

  • Some knowledge of statistical methods desired
