UL, LLC Sales Executive, Renewables Advisory Services (remote) in Buenos Aires, Argentina

UL Solutions is currently seeking a Technical Sales Executive to grow our Renewables Advisory business in Argentina and Chile.

As a member of the sales and business development team, you will be responsible to present, introduce and market UL’s renewable advisory capabilities in Argentina and Chile including wind/solar and energy resource assessments, asset advisory and due diligence.

  • Maintain and expand UL’s relationships with customers including developers, utilities, asset owners and operators as well as investors and lenders.

  • Promote our advisory capabilities in Argentina and Chile with our existing and new potential customers including Technical Advisory support for M&A transactions for Wind/Solar and Storage portfolios, Energy Advisory and Asset Advisory.

  • Define business growth plans and go-to-market strategies, in collaboration with service area leads

  • Identify prospective new customers and work with technical leads to establish positive business relationships with them and present the complete software suit.

  • Participate of proposals detailing a clearly defined scope and understanding of client required deliverables and establishing a corresponding budget that satisfies the clients’ expectations

  • Introduce and present the different portfolio product offering to potential customers as well as follow up with them with the goal to close sales.

  • Support development of GAM and SAM multi-year account plans in Advisory and Software by providing insight on renewables software offering in the region.

  • Contribute to the development of strategy for their assigned specialized advisory services by providing input on customer needs, pain points, trends, etc. to product / service manager

  • Maintain ongoing plan to prioritize portfolio of accounts and maintain relationships throughout the year, identifying opportunities.

  • Serve as main point of client contact for renewable advisory services in the Argentina and Chile market.

  • Bring in additional technical resources (e.g., engineers) when needed to support advisory sales opportunities.

  • Provide input to account owner during account planning process on potential growth opportunities within assigned solution area.

  • Make connections and build trusted advisor status with relevant account owners

  • Coordinate with sales and marketing teams the daily sales activities.

  • Collaborate with counterparts in other segments to identify and exploit synergies from existing clients. Establish regular channels of communication.

  • Attend regular departmental and team meetings; participate as appropriate in regular industry groups such as required.

  • Represent company at tradeshows, technical conferences and workshops, and business development meetings, as needed.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in the renewables industry, understanding renewables project lifecycle, market drivers and technical challenges in the wind/solar energy sector, and in customer facing roles

  • Strong technical background with ability to understand renewables technical risks

  • Exposure and/or understanding in project financing and M&A transactions

  • Business acumen and deep understanding of business sales processes

  • Work effectively with colleagues to ensure timely delivery of high quality proposals

  • Ability to work effectively across multiple departments in a deadline-driven environment

  • Active team player, self-starter, and multitasker who can quickly adjust priorities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Self-starter with ability to schedule and prioritize tasks and commitments

  • Fluent level of English and Spanish

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), and CRM software
