Description

As a Research Associate Junior, you will coordinate and execute the Yield Test trials activities in a defined zone. You will work as a team to ensure the optimum data collection and analysis. This function must guarantee the correct planting, crop maintenance, phenotyping and harvesting of research materials to meet pre-commercial product advancement and data quality goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the multicrop operations and phenotyping in a defined testing zone.

  • Work with temporary employees, agronomists, scientists and breeders to generate a fluid communication to achieve team goals.

  • Interact with agronomy referents in their zone to ensure the optimum conduction and phenotyping for yield trials.

  • Conduct experiments adapting procedures as required and in a safe environment.

  • Develop activities according to Corteva procedures and data quality principles.

  • Predisposition to train on experiments and locations creation, statistical software and precision phenotyping tools use.

  • Organize and supervise work of other temporary employees.

Qualifications

  • Resident of Trenque Lauquen and nearby zone, or available to relocate.

  • Agronomy bachelor's degree.

  • At least two years of experience working with crop research or field plot activities.

  • Agronomic basic knowledge of main crops, pests and weeds management.

  • Predisposition to learn and work as a team.

  • Flexibility to work extended days and weekends at critical times of the season.

  • Driver's License, acceptable driving record (Mandatory).

  • Intermediate english level.
