Position Summary:

This Senior Project Manager role at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. offers a unique opportunity to lead global programs focused on regulatory compliance. As the Senior Project Manager, you will have the chance to help build and implement a world-class framework for regulatory compliance that will have a lasting impact on the organization. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring flawless execution and consistent practices across multiple projects. You will collaborate with individuals from various Global Functions and external entities to establish a cohesive and unified approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate cross-functional, geographically distributed teams to achieve desired outcomes.

  • Influence key partners to achieve key results on time and within plan, developing relationships within the company and external partners to complete program results.

  • Facilitate breakthrough thinking by integrating diverse views while participating in targeted deep dive sessions to enable problem-solving.

  • Work closely with project partners and supporters to establish reporting schedules that lead to a unified and reliable program information.

  • Prepare and maintain project plans and define results.

  • Employ the fit-for-purpose methodology for each project.

  • Resolve complex issues and lead critical path processes as they relate to project delivery.

  • Identify and handle potential risks, problems, tasks, and decisions – take responsibility for addressing important issues and work towards developing strategies to minimize their impact.

  • Document and communicate the status and results of the projects.

  • Gather project information and ensure clear communication of the outcome of the meeting (risks, issues, actions, and decisions).

  • Lead regular reporting cadence and ad-hoc reports – including leadership reports & presentations.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 8 years of experience in leading complex, global programs and project initiatives ranging from process improvements, transitions, regulatory compliance initiatives, and system implementations.

  • Environmental Social and Governance/Sustainability/Regulatory Compliance Project Management experience is helpful.

  • Project Management/Sigma/Kaizen certification highly desirable.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • B2+ English Level. Fluent in English written and spoken.

  • Strong project management skills and abilities (using planning tools, defining goals, developing a rationale and baseline).

  • Demonstrated experience in successfully leading complex, multidimensional projects in a highly matrixed organization.

  • Ability to work independently, within a team, and collaboratively across teams.

  • Capable of prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills across all levels of the organization.

  • Proven track record of following through on commitments.

  • Good planning, organizational, and time management skills.

  • Collaborative individual, capable of effectively working in a team environment.

  • Ability to deal with highly sensitive information in line with confidentiality expectations.
