Paramount RTR Senior Expert, Fixed Assets in Budapest, Hungary

We are seeking a Senior Expert for RTR (Record to Report) responsible for timely accounting and analysis of complex fixed asset and lease transactions. The role involves partnering with Core Services, IT, and Technology FP&A teams, both internationally and domestically, to ensure accurate PPE (Property, Plant, and Equipment) asset accounting. We welcome applications from candidates ranging from Senior Experts to those at the Expert level, as we value diversity in experience within our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the stand-in for the Manager in operational matters.

  • Ensure accurate processing of incoming CERs (Capital Expenditure Requests) by other team members.

  • Accurately book amortization for the period in SAP for PPE assets.

  • Maintain a monthly process to review Asset Under Construction (AUC) balances with business teams for timely capitalization.

  • Book journal entries as required to adjust P&L or BS for quarter-end.

  • Perform asset subledger transactions in SAP (e.g., impairment, write-off, retirement).

  • Prepare regular or ad-hoc reports for Senior Stakeholders and NY Segment Reporting to capture movements, closing balances, and analysis for PPE assets.

  • Update Lease Accelerator with new or modified lease deals for accurate lease accounting. Act as a power user of the lease system.

  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations for PPE and Lease GLs and follow up on actions to clear reconciling items.

  • Ensure accurate booking of SaaS and Software assets.

  • Continuously seek efficiency and automation opportunities.

  • Ensure all relevant key controls are in place and function properly in accordance with policies and SOX rules.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required, with a focus in Accounting, Finance, or related area preferred.

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in shared service, accounting, or finance roles.

  • Proficiency in MS Office.

  • Fluent command of business English (oral and written).

  • Track record of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating a proactive approach to challenges and issue resolution, with the ability to take initiative, follow through, and complete tasks on time.

  • Proven record of a strong understanding of general accounting principles, concepts, and processes to form an opinion on accounting and process matters.

  • SAP ERP experience is a strong plus.
