Morgan Stanley Fixed Income Strats have an opportunity available for a Lead JavaScript Developer to work on complex and challenging projects to drive transformative change in the Fixed Income Division and in the broader Institutional Securities Group. Operating in an Agile Environment, applications are built with modern technologies and frameworks. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with outstanding technical skills who want to leverage their talent in solving business problems in a complex, diverse and global environment.

You will:

  • Own the technology infrastructure for delivering data insights and key business metrics in the form of dashboards and reports to COOs, Business Management.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, define problem statements.
  • Lead software architectural designs and act as a hands-on engineer.
  • Help the effort of attracting & hiring top software engineering talent

You have:

• 7 years of experience with Javascript (react.js and node.js) and optionally relational databases (postgres)

• Extensive experience with commercial-grade application development

• Excellent stakeholder management skills, ability to build a network of trusted partners in a global organization and able to collaborate with all levels within the organization

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand the business context and make the right decisions

• Management and agile team lead experience is highly desirable

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science of equivalent experience
