The Risk and Control Advocacy Senior Manager is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.
The Risk and Control Advocacy Senior Manager leads the team that is the liaison for Risk and Control for GIAM (Global Identity and Access Management) globally
The role of the Risk and Control Advocacy Senior Manager is to lead the team that supports and advises all functions within GIAM globally from a Risk and Control perspective
Responsibilities will include:
Management Operational Reporting updates monthly
GAT management - including liaison with application managers
CAMP updates to the teams for overdue and coming due items
CAP ownership and accountability when the R&C team owns the Issue/CAP
VOE for the Risk and Control Team
IDP development for the Risk and Control Team
Training of Non-R&C teams on R&C controls, standards and topics

Accessibility of Controls
Surveys to Operational and Governance teams
Mentoring, Career Pathing and Succession Planning
Producing requirements documentation in both written and diagrammatic form.
Data analysis and Excel modelling skills.
6-10 years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills in English
Proven influencing and relationship management skills
Proven analytical skills
Business knowledge of documentation type and purpose.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Track record as a strong analyst – recognized as able to deliver work in pressured environments.
Hands on approach and able to manage own work load whilst taking direction.
Attention to detail and ability to discuss document and confirm process flows.
Sufficiently experienced to provide feedback for areas of improvement and realign strategy accordingly.
Collaborative approach: must be able to work closely with senior business sponsors and promote consensus decisions that are right for the organization.
Flexibility and Autonomy are essential as some travel and out of hours work may be required.
