The function

Diageo Corporate has a cost base of £800m that is spread across different corporate functions, locations, and accounting systems. Efficient use of this spend requires information to be readily available to many individuals in a variety of formats as well as effective management and control of the overall financial control environment. As Corporate is a Global function, costs can arise in virtually every market in Diageo, so this is truly a global role.

The role

  • Support the FP&A processes and central projects for the function and take on holistic roles across the Corporate Finance team such as supporting the Corporate Finance Manager in coordination of Corporate planning exercises, and assisting in managing the Corporate Cash cycle implications.

  • Coordinate the FP&A processes including Annual Plan, monthly Actuals, Opportunities and Risks for P&L and working capital, to achieve timely and quality submission as per the timeline

  • Act like an owner of your supported function and provide outstanding finance business partnering to collaborators

  • Lead senior partner queries and ad-hoc information requests

  • Work together with respective functional partners to achieve high-level customer satisfaction

  • Support the process of the accounting treatment of Acquisition and integration cost.

The role has no direct reports, however, efficient communication and coordination within Corporate FP&A and with business partners are a requirement, since the role plays a leadership role in developing the processes and ways of workings.

About You

  • Degree educated in relevant finance / accounting/ business

  • 5-8 years of relevant professional experience

  • Proven track record in finance business partnering

  • Experience working within an international / multicultural environment

  • Experience of working in a role requiring strong communication skills (negotiation, influencing, managing expectations)

  • Proficient in English

  • Excellent financial system and Excel skills

  • Knowledge of SAP or other ERP system

  • Analytical skills and a high degree of attention to detail

  • Able to manage changes in a fast-paced environment
