Citigroup Financial Quality Assurance Senior Analyst in Budapest, Hungary

Team/Role Overview

The Financial Quality Assurance Team is responsible for executing the regulatory conformance testing to ensure that Citi’s businesses and products are reported in compliance with relevant regulatory reporting requirements.

The role will involve extensive interaction with the Regulatory reporting team and a variety of other functions within the organization including Policy, Risk, IT, Legal, Business, so the candidate will need to possess good communication skills.

What you’ll do

  • Periodic monitoring and review of regulatory rules to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and reporting changes are timely captured and correctly implemented

  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with all stakeholders and colleagues and work closely with all functions/products/business units in performing activities

  • Help implement a remediation plan to address issues identified during the validation

  • Perform periodic testing and validation of relevant Regulatory Reporting rules and requirements, in line with reporting instructions

  • Liaise effectively with multiple departments (including Regulatory Reporting, Treasury, Risk and Technology) on a regular basis

  • Proactively identify, escalate and assist in resolving issues identified through the periodic review exercises

  • Maintenance and further enhancement of control environment applicable to the framework and infrastructure of the Quality Assurance program

  • Ensure that procedures, process notes and policies are up-to-date and applied correctly to cover relevant rules and regulations, provide support to internal/external audit reviews

  • Participate in projects to implement any new or changing regulatory requirements and enhancing the Quality Assurance team’s framework and infrastructure

What we’ll need from you

  • Bachelor’s/University degree in Finance Accounting or Economics

  • 4+ years of work experience in banking accounting / reporting / controlling / risk management

  • Fluent English language skills is a must, German language skills would be an asset

  • Knowledge of main regulatory reporting rules and instructions, Finance processes and controls

  • Interpret the regulations and build offline models to compare to production regulatory rules and calculations

  • Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent, would be beneficial
