Johnson Controls Engineering Proposal Specialist (German Language) in Budapest, Hungary

What You Will Do

As a Proposal Specialist, you’ll provide technical support, estimating assistance, and mentoring to Application Engineers and Account Executives during project design and proposal phases. Key tasks include validating assumptions, creating detailed cost estimates, preparing customer proposals, and collaborating with stakeholders to manage project execution. Additionally, interpreting engineering drawings and adhering to standardized design procedures are essential aspects of this role.

How You Will Do It:

  • Support detailed estimating for Account Execs, finalizing and presenting projects to clients.

  • Mentor Application Engineers and Regional Project Engineers on Fire Suppression systems, ensuring quality expectations are met.

  • Prepare customer proposals, including project take-offs, specification review, and special quote generation.

  • Respond quickly through timely selections, specifications, and document reviews.

  • Collaborate with POD Lead, Customer, Sales, Project Manager, and Subcontractor to manage project execution.

  • Interpret engineering drawings and comply with ISO-9001 processes.

What we look for

  • Mechanical, electrical, or other technical education

  • Advanced level of English (minimum B2 level) and German (minimum B2 level)

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Previous work experience with Fire Suppression systems

  • AutoCAD experience

  • Hands-on work experience as an Engineer
