Responsibilities

  • Book-keeping and General ledger.

  • Reconcile accounts, post journal entries, and maintain a complete and accurate general ledger in accordance with Accounting principles and reporting schedules to ensure the organization has a full and accurate statement of its financial position.

  • Collect, compile, verify, and analyze financial information and prepare financial reports and Accounting statements to provide senior management with accurate and timely information for making financial decisions.

  • Preparing and filing the tax returns (VAT), corporate income tax, and local business tax/ credit declaration

  • Preparing and filing statistical reports to KSH

  • Preparing and sending invoices to clients, following up on payments, and matching bank account payments with clients' orders

  • Keeping communication with vendors and suppliers; payment of authorized invoices

  • Keeping communication with external accounting and other service providers

  • Office administration and support

  • Other duties and responsibilities as needed or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business, Business Administration, or related field (certified accountant is a plus)

  • 3+ years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting preferably in multinational companies

Additional Qualifications

  • Knowledge of modern accounting and office methods and procedures

  • Must possess a solid foundation in statutory accounting

  • Experience with Finance ERP system

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with others to obtain, share, verify and validate information

  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel)

  • Advanced level of English
