C.H. Robinson Supervisor Capacity in Bucharest, Romania

C.H. Robinson is looking for a Capacity Supervisor to join our team in Bucharest. This is a cross-functional role that offers a unique opportunity to make a real impact on our business and the global supply chain. The role is within the EST division - European Surface Transportation, which focuses on road freight .

As a Capacity Supervisor, you will be responsible for developing and implementing capacity strategies, managing relationships with carriers, and working with account managers to grow existing accounts. You will also be responsible for leading and developing a team of professionals, providing guidance and coaching.

Responsibilities

  • Growth and operational management in respective branch

  • Develop and implement capacity strategies to ensure that the Bucharest branch can meet customer demand.

  • Manage and develop relationships with carriers, negotiate rates and terms, and secure capacity.

  • Work with account managers to develop and grow existing accounts.

  • Monitor and analyze capacity trends, identify potential risks and opportunities, and recommend solutions.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure that the Bucharest branch is aligned with the overall company strategy.

  • Lead and develop a team of professionals, providing guidance and coaching.

Qualifications

Required :

  • Minimum 7 years of related logistics experience; capacity experience preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Road Freight

  • Minimum 2 years of prior supervisory experience in related industry

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Fluency in English and Romanian is required

Preferred:

  • Experience in leading and developing a team

  • Knowledge of industry metrics and a strong affinity with automation, technology, and analytical reporting tools

  • Experience in account management and sales

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field
