Amgen Key Account Specialist - Bucharest Area in Bucharest, Romania

The Role

Responsibility and accountability for achieving defined sales targets, establishing and managing high quality relationships to maximize sales of Amgen’s products within the defined territory towards HCPs and other stakeholders. This includes face-to face & virtual interactions, set up of local and regional promotional and scientific events and contribution/participating in organizing/representation in larger national events when required.

In collaboration with the line manager, the Key Account Specialist is responsible for implementing an agreed plan of action in line with the marketing strategy.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in oncology field in a sales-related job;

• Bachelor’s degree in medical sciences or life science (bio)

• Excellent product promotion and sales skills

• Good experience with computer systems

Preferred Requirements

• Experience in hematology business would be a plus

• Knowledge of health care environment, orientation in the system of regional and faculty hospitals, private and other health facilities

• Exposure to interactions with various disciplines and organizational levels

• Exposure to project management principles

• Very good social and communication skills

• Adaptability

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with manager to develop and implement territory plan of action (POA) and key account plans. Achieve the plan of action (POA)

• Designs and prepares a strategy for a given region and hospital

• Evaluates progress vs. plan monthly and agrees to course corrections with manager

• Collaborates with the team members to agree on key account plan objectives/responsibilities

• Engages with peers to learn/teach best practices.

• Demonstrates an understanding of industry and healthcare trends, of how retail practices, clinics and hospitals operate.

• Identify and gather competitive information

• Follows through on customer commitments and requests in a timely fashion

• Daily reports customer activity and ensures customer profiles are kept up-to-date

• Operates within the agreed expense budget aligned with plan of action (POA) priorities

• Seeks advice and assistance to organize activities

• Continuously develops and improves product knowledge, communication and selling skills through self-learning and active participation in agreed training programs

• Drives own development
