The Opportunity

For our Abbott Molecular Diagnostics Division AMD we are looking for an ambitious, well-motivated professional to join our technical team in Romania as a Field Service Engineer . This is a field-based position that requires daily travelling across assigned territory - Eastern Europe, with main focus on Romania.

Field Service Engineer is in continuous direct customer contact. Is responsible for system installation, preventive maintenance and for solving hardware and software issues. FSE strongly influences the Abbott Molecular reputation by the level of customer satisfaction. Timely installation ensures short time to Test of Record and increases AMD revenue.

What You'll do:

  • Installationandimplementationof new systems in current and new customers sites.

  • Performingpreventative maintenanceinterventions (HardwareandSoftwareupgrades andrepairinterventions on molecularinstrumentation).

  • TroubleshootApplicationandInstrumentationby telephone and on site, complaintloggingand tracking inCall Management Systems.

  • Providing on-sitecustomer supportforsoftwareandhardwareupgradetraining.

  • Active participation inAbbottMolecular conference calls,servicesummits, expert meetings andworkshops.

  • Providing primaryserviceandsupportto the defined territory.

  • Providing back-upservice supportoutside of assigned territory as needed.

  • Maintaining and managing own tools and accessories needed to perform repairs andpreventative maintenance. Including timely validations of tools according to defined procedures.

  • Maintaining and managing ownSpare PartsField Serviceinventorykits according to defined procedures.

  • Closecooperation withApplication SupportSpecialists and the Commercial team tosupportbusiness growth.

  • ReportsMonthly Highlights toService Management, including spare part usage report.

  • RepresentsAbbottin aprofessional manner.

  • ImmediatelyinformService Managementabout prep happened in use ofAbbottproducts.

Required qualifications and background:

  • University degree inEngineering, Bio-medicalEngineeringor related sciences.

  • Prior experience inserviceengineeringwould be a great advantage but non-experience, fresh graduates are welcome to apply as well.

  • Strong technical skills andengineeringmindset.

  • Fluency inEnglish isessential (both written andspoken).

  • Native Romanianis amust.

  • Team orientationandstrong communication skills.

  • Willingness to travelon responsible area.

  • Driving license, category B.
