Your Role and Responsibilities

You must bring a strong technical background, a collaborative attitude, and the ability to think strategically and holistically. If you have a passion for technology, user experience, and driving innovative solutions, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, creative director, designers, developers to conceptualize and create innovative content solutions that meet business goals.

  • Develop high-quality designs that are visually appealing, human-centered, and aligned with IBM's overall visual and brand identity.

  • Guide UX design to ensure cohesive, onbrand and user-centric design across all digital work

  • Create prototypes, wireframes, layouts, images, and video for various digital platforms such as websites, mobile experiences, social media, and inbound platforms.

  • Work closely with developers to ensure seamless integration of design elements into final products.

  • Conduct thorough research on industry trends, user experience, and emerging technologies including generative AI to stay ahead of the curve and incorporate findings into design strategies.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to tight deadlines and ensuring high-quality deliverables.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand project business and technical requirements, provide updates, and address concerns.

  • Stay up to date with the latest design tools, software, and techniques to maintain an innovative approach to content design.

  • Work closely with design team to implement IBM Carbon Design System in all solutions.

​​​​​​​This is a Hybrid role, attendance to the office will be required only 3 times peer week.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Proven experience as a UX and/or content designer with a strong portfolio showcasing your design work in various interactive media platforms.

  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools, such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects).

  • Strong understanding of design principles, color theory, and typography.

  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Strong understanding of usability principles, information architecture, and human-centered design.

  • Familiarity with responsive design principles and mobile-first design methodologies

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet short deadlines.

  • Experience working with design systems and the learning agility to quickly gain mastery over the IBM Design system, Carbon design system as well as IBM Branding guidelines and UI best practices.

  • Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices.

  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience working with Carbon design system, Adobe Experience Managet (AEM), and Adobe Target.
