The Portfolio Administrator will assist assigned Relationship Managers (RM) with the administrative activities linked to commercial lending relationships with business owners and real estate investors/developers as well as their agencies, representatives, and contractors. The incumbent will ensure that all customer service related goals for the period measured are achieved.

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide high-quality service to customers in a timely and accurate manner and will assist the RM with specific administrative responsibilities and special projects from time to time.
  • Create opportunities to cross-sell Bank products where appropriate as well as coordinate account openings, closings, and modifications as directed by customer or RM.
  • Process commercial loan advances, internal transfers, wire transfers, payments, stop payments, payoff requests and refunds.
  • Process all "special handling", preparing appropriate e-mails, communicating with RM for decision as required.
  • Monitor loan payment delinquencies.
  • Facilitate timely billing and collection of all fees as well as assist Credit and Loan Quality Control departments with timely collection of financial statements.
  • Assist RM with sales and marketing functions by compiling customer/relationship profiles (from the system) and by preparing presentation materials to support sales calls.
  • Monitor documentation exceptions and take appropriate action to rectify them as well as prepare daily teller work for filming.
  • Perform general administrative duties, process invoices for payment including those for appraisals, inspections, legal and other miscellaneous payments, and complete and submit check requests.

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Must have at least 2 years of commercial lending, banking and/or customer service experience.
  • Bilingual in Korean is required.
  • Must have previous administrative experience as well as experience using Microsoft Office.
  • Must have limited knowledge of different areas of banking that provide in-depth experience in Bank products, services and the marketplace.
  • Must have experience with banking systems and loan documentation.
  • Must have basic knowledge of accounting.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as, strong listening skills.
  • Must have superior customer service skills.
  • Must have fast-paced sales environment experience supporting a seasoned commercial loan sales force with a proven record of accomplishment is preferred.
