What You'll Do: We have an exciting opportunity for a Communication Manager who will leverage the full spectrum of strategic and tactical public relations and communications capabilities to support assigned corporate and subsidiary partners' business goals. The manager's efforts help create, cultivate ,and strengthen mutually beneficial relationships with the organization's internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Duties: * Manages strategy and creation of public relations programs for major projects and corporate initiatives. Manages the implementation of strategy using a variety of vehicles including earned media, traditional advertising ,and digital mediums. * Maintains, develops, and manages relationships with external vendors providing support services to the Organization's corporate communications efforts. * Manages the assigned communications team. Interviews, hires, sets high performance standards and manages performance in accordance with all applicable HR policies and procedures. Creates an energized work environment, fostering an atmosphere that enables employee trust and engagement. Inspires confidence and motivates others to perform at their best. Develops and coaches staff while effectively addressing performance issues. * Supports assigned corporate and subsidiary business partners with communications advice, programs, and tools that enable two-way, active communication with stakeholders, allowing a cross-section of perspectives to be heard and understood. * Collaborates with officials and bridges functional areas such as operations, engineering, gas, and water quality to anticipate and manage issues that could impact the company's reputation. * Uses the process of research, planning, implementation and evaluation to recommend, execute and manage stakeholder engagement strategies. * Works with state subsidiary leadership on strategies to engage with customers, community and municipal leaders, the media, and local elected or appointed officials. * Generates engaging content to share across all available channels to help regularly and consistently educate and inform stakeholders and share the company's story/brand.
